Synthesis of amide derivatives of dipterocarpol and antibacterial test of amine derivative
Abstract
The thesis’s aim was completed because four amide derivatives of dipterocarpol were synthesized successfully from amine derivative of dipterocarpol and carboxylic acids. Moreover, amine derivative was also tested for anti-bacterial activity with Escherichia coli (gram negative) and Staphylococcus aureus (gram positive). The anti-bacterial drug is Gentamicin that was used as standard. At the same concentration that is 4 mg/ml, amine shows anti-bacterial characteristic, but amine’s antibacterial is weaker than Gentamicin. In the future, four synthesized amide derivatives need to be checked anti-bacterial property to contribute more ability of application for medical function.
