dc.description.abstract | This article presents a new approach to solve economic load dispatch (ELD) problems with smooth and non-smooth cost functions, using the proposed Harris Hawks (HHO) optimization technique. Real-world ELD problems have cost functions with constraints on equality and inequality that make it difficult to find global optimal solutions using any mathematical methods. The proposed HHO is applied to examine ELD problem, considering some key aspects of the issue. The results of HHO are compared with those of conventional numerical methods. | en_US |
