Aggregate Production Planning: A Case Study At Tekcom Corporation
Abstract
This thesis proposed the multi-objective aggregate production planning problem by
Goal Programming Method with different operational constraints, which include
production, inventory, workforce level and other resources limitations such as 7
common types of products, 3 potential customers, 4 typical suppliers of Tekcom
corporation will be considered. A goal programming method solves the problems with
conflict and multiple objectives: minimize the total cost and maximize the quality of
products by minimize the defect rate of raw materials from suppliers. All data was
collected from company, used to test the efficiency of the proposed model. The results
prove the flexibility and the reliability of the proposed model when adjust the goal
priorities, which helps manager’s company can handle goal value to decide the optimal
solution.
