Intergrating Preventive Maintance Planning And Production Scheduling
Abstract
Production scheduling, and preventive maintenance (PM) planning are two areas that have
received tremendous attention in both the manufacturing industry, and the manufacturing
systems & operations research literature. In practice, these activities are typically performed
independently despite the clear relationship that exists between them. Manufacturing system
productivity could be improved by integrating these decisions. This study proposes an
integrated optimization model of scheduling and preventive maintenance with the goal of
minimizing completion time in Vietnam Scancom. In this study, the main purpose is to
minimize the the total completion time of jobs by finding the starting time and ending time
of each job followed sequence of resources (numbers of machines, jobs, processing), and
resource constraint. This final solution is gained thanks to the CPLEX Solver, and the real
data about number of resources, time, … will be collected and applied. The final solution is
presented by Gantt chart.
