Application Of Discrete Event Simulation For Warehouse Operation A Case Study Of Carrier Vietnam Company
Abstract
In recent decades since the development of the manufacturing industry, warehouse
management plays an important role in manufacturing, which is the most interest of all
companies around the world. The optimal warehouse layout and the suitable policies can gain
the best performance in the operations. For solving the case of Carrier Vietnam company, this
thesis focuses on the research of improving the warehouse operations by using the Discrete
Event Simulation (DES) and implement on ARENA.
In short, after testing different scenarios in simulation, the result is required to have a high
accuracy comparing with the real system and solve the transportation on time to get the
customer satisfaction and the solution also gives positive impacts on improving the
disadvantages of the system.
