dc.description.abstract | Moina micrura is kind of freshwater zooplankton that popularly found in the
Mekong Delta, VietNam (Le Van Hau et al, 2018). In unfavourable conditions,
Moina start to reproduce sexually with the present of ephippia (resting eggs)
(Dodson et al, 2010). This study was conducted to figure out the effect of
different kinds and concentration of organic source including rice bran
suspension, dry yeast and Scenedesmus sp. used as feed on the growth of
population density and the production of ephippia. With initial density was 200
individuals/L, resulted in the highest population density and ephippia production
in the treatments with rice bran (16,600±1,050 individuals/L and 345±53
eggs/L, respestively). Experiment using different pH (pH 2, 4, 6 and 8) and addin ammonia (initial concentration at 1, 2, 3 and 4mg/L) showed no potential use
as resting eggs production stimulator for M. micrura. | en_US |
