The Effect Of Dimension Of Green Intellectual Capital On Sustainable Performance : The Mediating Role Of Green Knowledge Sharing And Green Innovation - The Case Of Vietnamese SMES
Abstract
The study examines how three aspects of green intellectual capital (GIC)
including green human capital (GHC), green structural capital (GSC) and green relational
capital (GRC) affects sustainable performance (SP), and analyzes the mediating impacts of
green knowledge sharing (GKS) and green innovation (GI) using resource-based
perspective theory (RBV) and knowledge-based perspective theory (KBV). This
investigation uses a questionnaire-based survey method to collect data applying snowball
sampling and convenience sampling techniques. In terms of methodology, our research
concentrates on employees with at least three years of work experience to validate data on
the dependent variables, which are green knowledge sharing (GKS), green innovation (GI)
and sustainable performance (SP) of Vietnamese enterprises. To fulfill this objective, the
conceptual model of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to test and analyze
through the Smart-PLS software on a sample of respondents. The findings are expected
that all dimensions of GIC including GHC, GSC, GRC are significantly correlated to SP,
and GIC is positively associated with GKS. In addition, GKS positively influences GI,
which positively affects SP. Specifically, GI plays a critical part in mediating the
correlation between GKS and SP. Taken together, the implication of the study contribute
to a deepening knowledge of the various mechanisms and forces that can encourage green
innovation and green knowledge sharing as well as the creation of innovative ideas and the
use of modern technology by promoting knowledge sharing when implementing projects
in order to boost innovation efficiency and achieve sustainable performance for the
Vietnamese enterprises. The research findings contribute considerably to a coherent theory
of green intellectual capital and supplement the increasing collection of green marketing
literature.
