One-Step Synthesis Of Dihydro -1,3,5-Triazines From Aldehyes
Abstract
Dihydro – 1,3,5 – triazines are heterocyclic aromatic compounds whose
derivatives were synthesized from aldehydes and characterized by 1H NMR
spectra. This kind of compound and their derivatives have potential antibacterial
agents, antimalarials and malignancy – infectious disease. This study was
conducted to determine the optimal condition of the process of synthesizing
target compounds. The research explored the reaction of substituted
benzaldehydes with substituted amidine hydrochloride in the presence of DMSO
which induces the forming of 1,2 - dihydro – 1,3,5 – triazine derivatives. The
results depicted the good yields of the reaction.
