The Impact Of Leadership On Employees Performance In International Business: Mediating Employees' Well-Being
Abstract
Leadership and employees performance are always hot topics for business
researchers while employee’s well-being has risen as a controversial issue. The main
aim of this study is to focus on how employee’s well-being play as the mediate role in
the relationship between leadership and employees’ performance. The interpretative
phenomenological analysis was applied in interviews with 5 international business
managers. The results provide leaders’ perceptions about their leadership styles, work
characteristics, employees’ overall performance, and the role of employees’ well-being.
The cross-finding is really interesting, it shows the difference in perceptions of leaders
about employees’ well-being based on their experience and demographic. Moreover,
the finding results are also matched with based theory in the literature review, it
reinforced old theories and opened up potential topics for future researches.
