Synthesis Of Polyethylene Glycol Triterpenoid Conjugates
Abstract
The aim of the project was to synthesize conjugates between the polymer
polyethylene glycol with triterpenoid derivatives of dipterocarpol. Of 4 of the
products predicted to be synthesized from the 2 types of Polyethylene glycol (PEG400
and PEG6000), 1 was successfully purified and characterized. The intermediate
products between succinic anhydride and dipterocarpol derivatives were able to be
synthesized, yet there were 2 main products were achieved after the reactions
between the intermediate products and different kinds of polyethylene glycol (PEG)
and only one was successfully isolated. Both products of the reactions between 2
types of PEG and succinic dipterocarpol oxime were unable to be formed due to the
instability of the reactant.
