dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted to observe and assess the water quality of water resources from
supplied channels belonged to Mekong Delta provided with shrimp culturing including
(Litopenaeus vannamei) and (Penaeus monodon). Water monitoring serve for management and
steer the shrimp culturing in sustainability and effectively. With monitoring water can detect the
potential harmful about water qualities can happen in shrimp culturing. With the frequency was
twice a month during last four months of dried season. The research scope in project
concentrated in monitoring at 12 different locations belonged to four provinces that are Bến Tre,
Bạc Liêu, Cà Mau and Trà Vinh by water quality parameters testing in laboratory.
With the researching target were concentrated on testing and assessed the water parameters
analyzed in laboratory including Alkalinity, Chemical oxygen demand, Hydro sulfur, Ammonia
based on total Nitrogen, Total suspended solids and combined with adding information about
Nitrite and Total Vibrio counted provided by Research Institute of Aquaculture No.2. After
analysis the data were compared to Vietnam Standard for water provide for shrimp culturing due
to QCVN 02-19:2014/BNNPTNT then give the conclusion about water status, raising awareness
for local people about water quality of supplied channel for shrimp culturing, recommend for the
manage way and protect the water environment.
Through the monitoring and analysis in 4 months showed that beside the optimal analysis data
of ALK, COD, H2S and nitrite parameters. In the other hand ammonia, TSS, Total Vibrio counted,
were at the point out of the limit of Vietnam Standard for shrimp culturing water quality. The
results showed that the parameters about Total Vibrio and TSS usually out of limit especially in
Bạc Liêu and Cà Mau always had the lower water quality compared to Bến Tre and Trà Vinh.
Most of the cases happened in April and May. In the other hand TSS usually get out of the limit
with high density. Therefore, it should be noted that the water bodies of Bạc Liêu, Cà Mau, the
extending of riverbank erosion causes local pollution lead to the raising uncontrollable of TSS
and Total micro-organism in water. | en_US |
