Manufacturing Process Improvement By Simulation And Lean Production Case Study: Anh Doan Company

Abstract

This is the research paper using Value Stream Mapping and simulation to solve the time manufacturing problems in Anh Doan company with the purpose is to reducing the cycle time in the bottleneck station. In this research, first about the Value Stream Mapping, it helps us know about the material flow of process and depend on it, it is easier for us to estimate the total cycle time of this system. Not only that we can also identify the bottleneck station and then find solution to improve the time in this station. Secondly about the simulation, simulation is used to assess the impact of new processes, process modifications, and equipment investment. Simulation use to evaluate the performance of an existing system. After we have solution to improve the problem, we change the parameter that we have changed in the Arena model and checked if it works efficiently by compare the performance of an existing system with the performance of alternative system.
