A proper understanding of where and when different sorts of tourists stay is necessary, also, given the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, it is crucial to present scientific analyses of the future of tourism for hotel practitioners. For this purpose, this research presents a method for examining travelers' spatial and temporal accommodation patterns using online reviews and investigating the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on tourism using a two-stage forecast framework. A case study of foreign visitors visiting Vietnam will be presented, using a big data set made up of 211,862 online reviews in total and 129,334 reviews with complete information of 111 hotels from January 2012 to March 2022. Through the results, hotel demand patterns by season, travel type and specific location preferences were discovered, and the two-stage forecast methodology helps to increase the reliability and accuracy of anticipating tourism demand under crisisen_US
