Applying ergonomics on worker's posture: A case study of Thien Phu glass company
Abstract
Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) have been a substantial concern in production for
many decades which challenge the researcher and manager to study and make changes in
order to improve current workplace to prevent any risks and provide a pleasant work
condition for employees. That is the aim of this study at the very first moment when
observing the processing procedure of double doors in Thien Phu Glass company. After
recording the current workstations, the research starts to evaluate through Rapid Upper
Limb Assessment (RULA) and Principle of Motion Economy to seek for the problems on
worker‘s postures. Then, some advices are given as well as tools requirements to improve
the pose of employees and reduce the probability of risk occurrence.
