dc.description.abstractThe COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, has already had a significant impact on and even claimed thousands of lives around the world for months. The pandemic hits its peak in Ho Chi Minh city, with more than 700 thousand cases, becoming Vietnam worst disease outbreak ever, resulting in the increasing risk of disruption in the supply chain of medical supplies, in this case is medical-grade oxygen. In order to examine patterns, analyze the overall system and offer assistance in decisionmaking, simulation modeling is an essential technique used in numerous fields for process imitation and scenario testing, navigating the complexity of a supply chain’s network with its versatility, adaptable features. The aim of the thesis is to focus on simulating the distribution process of the two supply chains, using ARENA Simulation Software. In order to develop functional and applicable models, datasets, attributes and key performance indicators are defined in accordance with the simulation model with secondary data collected to be processed to fit in with the model. The result should be able to describe the disruptive situation, oxygen shortage emergency in the healthcare supply chain of medical oxygen and from that, further operation research is done to find feasible solutions and suggestions to enhance the supply chain system, deliver adequate oxygen to hospitals and be applicable to solve related real-life problems in the future.en_US
