This thesis shows the case of vehicle routing problem having the cross-dock system in delivering products that consider the freshness-life. These products must be delivered in full quantity before the time required for the customer's expectation of freshness. With the aim of proposing a sustainable service, this paper considers the environmental aspects of greenhouse gas emissions from petroleum outgoing vehicles. A Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) formulation is set up to solve the vehicle routing with cross-dock in the view of minimizing the total costs while ensuring the efficient delivery of perishable products. Finally, encoding the problem with the help of a Genetic algorithm (GA) and comparing the result-based with the MILP to validate the model formulation that contributes to the progress of the large-sized problem in the future. The result is a route for each outgoing vehicle and the optimal schedule for vehicles corresponding to the receiving and shipping dock door of the cross-dock. A sensitivity analysis of the model is also performed, with changes to the elements of freshness life.en_US
