Application Of Agent-Based Approach In Simulation Of Container Ship Stowage Problem
Abstract
In order to demonstrate the impact of weight equilibrium stability on the containership, this
thesis uses a graphic simulation tool for the issue of containership stowage at marine ports.
The issue with container stowage is created to serve as a planning and allocation tool for
container allocation, using previously scheduled origin and destination ports for each
container. In order to construct the graphic tool and set up and execute the agent-based
simulation, a methodological framework was created. A total of 2 scenarios were
developed based on combinations of the most important input factors and the weight
equilibrium stability output variables in order to verify the graph simulation tool that was
designed. The computational outcomes demonstrate that the input values that were
assigned during the allocation process, the factors allocation ordering sequence, number of
containers, and stability restrictions directly affect the weight equilibrium stability
simulation
