dc.description.abstract | The nation's rice-producing Mekong River Delta (MRD) has contributed to the
country's transition from a rice deficit to a major rice surplus economy. Loc Troi Group
(LTG) is one of the biggest agricultural manufacturer and supplier in Vietnam and has
a strong development in rice production and distribution in almost MRD region. To ship
rice orders to local retailers, LTG has currently cooperated with outside logistic
companies. However, using outsourced transportation causes indirect controlment and
management leading to worse in allocation and coordination of distribution and
transport. To solve these problems, the method used in this thesis is the comparison
between exact and heuristics algorithms applied to solve multi-depot capacitated
vehicle routing problem (MDCVRP). The model is solved by CPLEX Studio IDE
12.8.0 and Python 3.11. The result are feasible routes and more efficient vehicle
utilization. The heuristics as the combination of K-means clustering and Clarke and
Wright (C&W) algorithm are concluded that works better and faster than exact solution
in solving large-scale problem. | en_US |
