In this paper, the production planning and scheduling problem in the make-and-pack industry is studied and addressed via a case study from a liquid manufacturing company. This project aims to develop and integrate systematic solutions to the forecasting phase (1st phase) and the scheduling phase (2nd phase) for a typical make-and-pack production process via the studied company. The solution is formulated from two outstanding candidates, ANFIS and MILP, for the forecasting and scheduling techniques respectively. Next, a two-phase control panel was designated to forecast the production quantity by running the ANFIS model in the MATLAB and then to generate the machine schedule by running the MILP model in the CPLEX. Finally, various scenarios were created and applied for verification and validation purposes. And the results show that the proposed solution is effective in tackling the stated problems and can bring out numerous improvements to this industry.en_US
