dc.description.abstract | This study is to show how breadfruit, specifically the branch of the breadfruit will
work in the anti-UV activity and to show does it is good to be applied in sunscreen
production. Moreover, to observe the differences between the 2 samples collected
from 2 different months which is January and October which represents 2 seasons in
South Vietnam rainy season and the dry season to see how different the sample
might give in the anti-UV activity. The first is to find a good solvent for the
extraction and in this study, the ethanol-water mixture was applied with 3 different
ratios ethanol 100% with the efficiency of 9.3728% for October and 8.6894% for
January; ethanol 50% with the efficiency of 7.9782% for October and 7.2648% for
January; ethanol 70% with the efficiency of 10.322% for October and 9.6584% for
January. The experiment showed that the best solvent was ethanol 100% and for
giving stable data the branch collected in January could be used. For more specific
data will be shown in the rest of the report. | en_US |
