dc.description.abstractThe oysters from around the Vietnamese coast are identified as Portuguese oysters, Crassostrea Angulata, which significantly impact the financial industry. Despite the promising potential of molecular techniques for genetic management and enhancement, there are currently only a small number of relevant applications. The study was checked on 80 individuals from four distinct populations using six crossspecies polymorphism DNA microsatellites. There were five successful validations out of a total of six markers. The average number of alleles per locus was 25 from a total of 126, making these regions very polymorphic. One of the five loci examined had null alleles. The markers were found to have a high polymorphism level (PIC > 0.5) as measured by Polymorphism Information Content (PIC). Heterozygosity was either expected to be in the 0.628–0.949 range or observed to be in the 0.500– 0.863 range. The five microsatellite markers provide researchers with a new tool for studying oyster populations, determining lineages, estimating genetic parameters for broodstock management, and conducting marker-assisted selection. The study also pointed out the genetic diversity of the oysters on the Vietnamese coast.en_US
