Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae are two common sexually transmitted diseases with high transmissibility. It has major health consequences if it is not diagnosed early and treated instantly. There is currently no information available about the infection situation these two bacteria have caused in Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, this study investigated the prevalence of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis concurrent infections by Multiplex Realtime PCR technique in clinics in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for four months (October 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023). A total of 997 samples were collected, including 606 women and 391 men ranging in age from 2 to 81. Most participants were aged 25–49, accounting for 83.8% (836/997). The rate of positive results recorded was 9.6%, of which Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and co-infection rates in both sexes were 5.3%, 3.2%, and 1.1%, respectively. Females had a prevalence of chlamydia of 5.3% (32/606) and gonorrhea of 3.6% (22/606), while males had a prevalence of 8.2% (32/391) chlamydia and a prevalence of 5.4% (21/391) gonorrhea. The rate of infection in males is higher than in females, yet this data is statistically irrelevant. Of the three age groups, Youth (15–24) have the highest positive rate (20.2%), adults (25–49) come in second with 27.9%, and Others is the lowest (7%). There was a significant difference in positive results among age groups. In the community, especially among young people, the rate remains high. Therefore, periodic health examinations and screening for sexually transmitted diseases are essential. This will assist in recognizing the illness promptly and beginning the proper treatment as soon as possible, lowering the risk of the illness and improving the effectiveness of the cure.en_US
