dc.description.abstract | Thanks to the explosion of technology and the growing significance of travel
applications in the Vietnamese tourism sector, understanding how to enhance their usage
is essential. Despite its importance, there is currently limited understanding of this topic.
This study attempts to remedy this deficiency in understanding by exploring factors
affecting Vietnamese tourists’ intention to use travel applications. This study used a
quantitative technique and was conducted with 277 participants residing in Ho Chi Minh
City. Data was collected through two types of questionnaires: electronic and paper-based.
Electronic questionnaires are digital forms that can be completed and submitted online,
while paper-based questionnaires are physical forms that are filled out by hand and returned
in person. The suggested study framework and associated hypotheses were subjected to
empirical evaluation utilizing the SPSS and SMARTPLS analytical tool. The results point
out that attitudes about travel apps, perceived ease of use, and system quality have a
positive effect on the intention to use travel applications. Furthermore, the study explores
the indirect effects of electronic word-of-mouth, perceived ease of use, and system quality
on usage intention through their influence on attitudes towards travel apps. The study
concludes by emphasizing the academic and practical implications for future research and
industry practitioners. | en_US |
