dc.description.abstract | Climage change has become a global concern, particularly in coastal countries or stated
in tropical areas. Greenhouse gases was a cause of climate change and economic
development is anchored with emissions. In this research, we investigate carbon
emissions impact on GDP in Asia-Pacific for the period from 1990 to 2023. This study
collected data from various sources to point out the upward trend of carbon emissions
impact on the economy. Besides, this research also investigates other macroeconomic
factors such as: consumer price index, gross capital formation, renewable energy
consumption and urbanisation rate in 33 countries. This finding can give some evidence
for economic and environmental policymakers in designing suitable carbon tax policy
and promoting eco-friendly technologies to reduce carbon emissions in low-income,
emerging and advanced economies over the next decades. | en_US |
