Capital Structure And Cost Of Capital In Vietnam: A Comparative Study Real Estate - Construction Materials - Consumption Goods
Abstract
This thesis investigates the differences in capital structure and cost of capital
across the real estate, construction materials, and consumption goods sectors in
Vietnam. Using data from 30 companies between 2015 and 2023, we apply quantitative
analysis methods, including ANOVA and linear regression, to test three hypotheses
regarding sectoral variations and the impact of capital structure on cost of capital. The
findings reveal significant differences in capital structures among the sectors and a
complex relationship between capital structure and cost of capital. However, there are
limited positive results from this research
