The mediating effect of perceived organizational support in the relationship between transformational leadershipand employee's creativity among private and FDI companies in Vietnam
Abstract
This paper's purpose is to explore the function that Perceived Organizational
Support (PO) serves in the role of a mediator in the link between Employee's Creativity
(EC) and Transformational Leadership (TL) in the Vietnam’s private and FDI sector
among employees. The study obtained reports from 188 employees working in private
and FDI companies in Vietnam through a questionnaire survey. Lower and higher order
construct validity and reliability analyses were conducted while the direct and mediating
impacts are validated through the “Structural equation modeling” method. A notion from
this research is that first, a positive and direct impact from transformational to PO exists.
Second, positively and directly, PO influences EC. Third, PO impacts EC positively and
directly. Moreover, taking the variable PO into account, there is a partly mediation
impact on the link that connects TL and employees' creativity. In Vietnam, limited
earlier researches have looked into how significant PO is between TL and EC. As such,
findings in this study can contribute to the research on Organizational Behaviour in
Vietnam’s private and FDI sector
