Agent-Based Simulation Modeling Of Traders And Farmers' Behaviors: A Case Study Of Rice Trading In Long An Province
Abstract
Since rice is the primary food consumed by Vietnamese citizens, rice farming is
important in Vietnam. The buying and selling of rice requires traders and farmers to
properly calculate and predict in order to bring in the best revenue, and the constant
fluctuation in rice prices is the element that generates many decisions and interactions
between them. In this thesis, the interaction between traders and farmers is investigated
using the Agent-based Simulation (ABS) method in order to examine the profitability
or loss of a trade between them, this model concentrates on two agent and essential
relationship components: traders and farmers.
