dc.description.abstract | This research focuses on the intergrated production scheduling and distribution planning
problems (IPDPs) in a flexible job shop environment within a make-to-order (MTO)
manufacturing system. The study addresses the need to approach that considers both production
scheduling and distribution decisions simultaneously. The research aims to study optimization
models and solution procedures tailored to the flexible job shop environment. The objective is
to achieve a trade-off between total cost and total penalties when delivery earliness and
tardiness, ensuring economical production and distribution operations. After reviewing and
analyzing the factors of many calculation methods, we propose two approachs for this bi objective model: ε-constraint method and AUGMECON2. The outcomes demonstrate that the
ε-constraint method can identify the pareto set of optimal solution, which provide many choices
for company based on their preferences. The AUGMECON2 finds diversity near-optimal
solutions in shorter time compared to ε-constraint method. This thesis contributes to the
advancement of integrated supply chain management by addressing the specific challenges of
production scheduling and distribution planning in a flexible job shop environment. The
findings provide valuable insights and decision support for manufacturing companies adopting
the make-to-order business model. | en_US |
