Application Of Mcdm Methods To Sustainable Supplier Selection: A Case Study Of Ngo Hoang Thu Limited Company
Abstract
Supplier selection process is essential for the development, evaluation, and expansion of a firm. Businesses that have supplier agreements with organizations that provide premium goods, prompt delivery, the right amount, and outstanding quality might expect significant advantages. Utilizing multi-criteria decision-making to optimize competing objectives serves as the foundation for the supplier selection process. Nevertheless, with an abundance of suppliers in the contemporary global market, companies may need to take into account other factors besides economic criteria when choosing vendors. This thesis aims to examine the validity of AHP, Fuzzy AHP, Fuzzy TOPSIS, Fuzzy MARCOS, and SECA in the accurate selection of competent suppliers based on a specific set of major and supporting criteria. The derived weights will signify the value of each criterion, and the corresponding outputs will identify the optimal suppliers that fulfill all the requirements of the company. Additionally, this study’s finding might suggest that the company’s traditional supplier selection criteria are less appropriate given the current circumstances.
