This research studied the impacts of exogenous application of two plant growth regulators (PGRs) phytohormones, auxin and cytokinin, on the nutritional content and antibacterial properties of sea grapes (Caulerpa Lentillifera) during preservation and cultivation processes. The studied range of Auxin and Cytokinin concentration were 0 – 8 mM and 0 – 10 mM, respectively. In the preservation process, the results indicated that the total phenolic content, chlorophyll b and weight changed yielded the positive result, which were significant compared to the control sample, in correlated with the combination of these two phytohormones and time. Whereas, responses that yielded negative results, or not significant changes, were the total flavonoid content, chlorophyll a, total carotenoid content, weight changed, water content, lipid content, ash content, protein content, and carbohydrate content. Similarly, in the cultivation process, ash content and protein content were reported to exhibit positive changes, which were higher, compared to the control sample. Whereas the results for chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total carotenoid content, weight changed, water content, lipid content, and carbohydrate content did not give the significant changes compared to the control sample. The positive results in preservation and cultivation processes indicating that sea grapes containing auxin and cytokinin at these concentration ranges are potentially rich source of nutritional contents, which might contribute specific health benefits for consumers. However, the research also found out that the antibacterial ability of auxin and cytokinin was limited based on the low inhibition zone diameter, which required further determination.en_US
