This research focuses on determining key motivations that drive backers to make a financial contribution to crowdfunding projects in Vietnam. Quantitative research through a survey is utilized to analyze the individual and social motivations of Vietnamese backers in crowdfunding campaigns. Multiple Linear Regression is used as this study aims to explore if the motives have a positive impact on backers’ funding intention or not. From the research, Personal Development is the most influential factor contributing to funding intention, and contrary to traditional investment activities, rewards and recognition motives will reduce Vietnamese backers’ funding intention.en_US
