dc.description.abstractTextile and garment industry has paid an important role in Vietnam economy and society. It provides a large amount of job for Vietnamese citizen and contributes significantly to the development of country as well as other industries. However, in the globalization, the textile and garment enterprises are facing with the lacking of employee and the requirement to meet the higher standard of manufacturing with higher productivity and sustainable development. Facing with the problem about human resource, especially the general workforce, who directly make product, the company have to find the way to satisfy and motivate them to perform job better to increase the value for the company. It is significant to conduct this study to analyze the factors effecting the job satisfaction and internal work motivation of the general workforce in exporting textile and garment industry. Using the modified job characteristics model combined to the three dimensions of the dynamic triangle of motivation, the model was adapted to be more suitable to the nature and the main purpose of the research. Both the quantitative and qualitative approaches were applied to support each other to better recognize and analysis the factors influencing the subject. The questionnaire was delivered through five trustful and outstanding enterprises in different district in Ho Chi Minh City as well as the interview was conducted with each respondent in each company to better analyze the survey and deeper understand their thinking. Data would be analyzed through the descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability test, Pearson‟s correlation, and regression analysis by SPSS 22 software. The study has found out some factors affecting the employee satisfaction as well as factors affecting their internal motivation. The participation factor plays a main role in influencing both satisfaction and motivation of the respondent. In general, the social dimension may give a largest impact on the employee much rather than physical and mental dimension. The study also gave some recommendation toward the company action to be able to enhance both their employee satisfaction and motivation in the workplace.en_US
