Employee engagement on business operation - A case in education sector
Abstract
The impact of employee engagement on human resource management (HRM) has been widely studied and many positive results have come up. Since Kahn‟s study (1990), many other researchers have based on his theory (mainly psychological aspects) on employee engagement

and disengagement to figure out its correlation to employee performance. This study focuses on employee engagement factors that drive performance management; furthermore, to indicate and measure the level of employee engagement on business operation which helps to implement on HRM process in education sector. Quantitative approach is the major method used, with statistic provided by a questionnaire designed for people working under appropriate sectors (schools, university, language centers, etc.). Besides that, the purpose of conducting this study, is to come up with possible suggestions to enhance practical working efficiency. These findings initially form a linkage to existing theoretical concepts as well as implications for further research.
