Cafecontrol: A problem solving approach to business strategy and financial ratios
Abstract
This study is aimed at analyzing the business strategy and financial ratios of Cafecontrol, a coffee inspection service provider. Interviews and financial statements from 2008 and 2010 are conducted and collected directly with the chief accountant and at
the company. I have pointed out that the company is pursuing quality strategy. In addition, to increase profit, Cafecontrol needs to employ more diversified customer loyalty programs, cut the cost of goods sold, and better manage expenses. In addition to those practical analyses and recommendations, a template for financial ratios analysis and
a method to forecast the company’s profit are presented.
