dc.description.abstractThe problem was that SDC Company is in the labor shortage situation; the status of giving up, and frequency change work, the turnover rate is relatively high and occurs in the highly order time. Thus, the company faced the low productivity, and hence it increases the cost of outsourcing. Additionally, there had been a large number of changes within the company in recent time; including an increasingly diverse workforce. The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting job satisfaction at SDC furniture. This research was to determine the overall level of job satisfaction among workers of SDC Company and more specifically, to identify any differences in job satisfaction between motivation, work conditions, pay and salary, the fairness, the Promotion and the Supervision. The hypothesis testing methodology was used to answer the following questions: • What extent is the influence of career motivator, work conditions, pay and salary, fairness, supervision and promotion on employee job satisfaction? • Is there a relationship between job satisfaction amongst employees and career motivator, work condition, pay and salary, fairness, supervision and promotion? • Is there any difference between group of age, group of gender and job satisfaction? The principal procedure used to complete this research consisted of literature review and a survey instrument given to 165 workers of the company. The survey was anonymous, but including distinguishing demographic data including gender, income, and age. The result of this research was highly reflected the real situation in the company. The study showed that organizational factors such as basis needs, salary and fairness, the evaluation significantly influenced employee job satisfaction in SDC furniture. However, individual factors such as age and gender did not significantly influence employee job satisfaction in SDC Company. The research provided a better understanding regarding the factors affecting job satisfaction in in SDC Company. Thus, it emphasizes that there is still a need to conduct additional research to filling the gaps that have not been solved in the current study. In the final chapter, some recommendations were provided for future use to any researcher in this academic field.
