Understanding students' satisfaction towards the quality of training service at a faculty - The case of lac Hong university
Abstract
Today, people talk about quality in all areas of society: industry, services ... and in the field of education. Quality is an important issue in education in general and universities in particular. So, improving the quality of training service is the most important tasks of any universities, is a prerequisite for the existence and development of the training unit. To meet social needs, enhance the prestige and more powerful development for Lac Hong university is the understanding of the factors affecting students’ satisfaction on the quality of training service in order to find solutions to further improve the quality of training service as well as to satisfy the needs of students are urgent issues that need attention.
This thesis was conducted from March, 2012 to August, 2012 in the faculty of Business Administration and Foreign Trade at Lac Hong university. My thesis use Howard-Sheth model as the theoretical guide for setting the measurement scale and questionnaire design.
In this research, the survey was done by surveying students who have
been studying on last year students in the faculty of Business Administration
and Foreign Trade at Lac Hong university with the sample size is 200. I used
SPSS software version 16.0 in order to analyze the collected data. My data
analysis procedure has 4 steps: first step is Descriptive Statistics; second step
is Reliability Test; third step is Exploratory Factor Analysis; and the final step
is Regression Analysis.
The results show that all of components are meaningful statistical
significance. New Image Value dimension has the strongest impact to Students’ satisfaction; Epistemic value on Students’ satisfaction has greater impact than Emotional value and Social value; and finally, Functional value dimension has the lowest impact to Students’ satisfaction.
