Abstract
The advent of Industry 4.0, characterized by the integration of advanced
technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things,
has revolutionized various industries worldwide, including the banking sector. In
Vietnam, the development of Industry 4.0 has been gaining momentum, with the banking
industry actively embracing digital transformation initiatives to enhance their operations
and customer experiences, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This research investigates the Industry 4.0 trends in the field of banking, with
a specific focus on the perspectives and opinions of students in Ho Chi Minh City. The
study aims to explore how young individuals, particularly university students, perceive
and engage with digital transformation initiatives in the banking sector, particularly in the
context of Industry 4.0 technologies. Questionnaires will be utilized as the primary data
collection method to provide insights into student's familiarity with 4.0 technologies and
their attitudes towards digital banking services. The collected data will be analyzed using
the SPSS tool to identify significant trends and correlations.
By leveraging quantitative research methods, this study seeks to evaluate the
impact of Industry 4.0 trends on students' perceptions of the banking industry, their
digital literacy, and their career aspirations within the financial sector. Given that young
adults are at the forefront of digital technology adoption, understanding their perspectives
is crucial for the ongoing transformation of the banking sector. The findings of this
