Green Knowledge Acquisition And Green Performance: The Mediating Role Of Ambidextrous Green Innovation, The Moderating Role Of Organizational Green Culture And Ambidextrous Leadership
Abstract
This study explores how efficiently green knowledge acquisition (GKA)
influences green performance (GP) within Vietnamese small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs). It examines the mediating roles of green knowledge
management (GKM) and ambidextrous green innovation (AGI), along with the
moderating effects of organizational green culture (OGC) and ambidextrous
leadership (AL). The study leverages the natural resource-based view (NRBV)
framework. By using judgmental and snowball sampling method, a
questionnaire-based survey was used to obtain cross-sectional data from 491
respondents in Ho Chi Minh city. Partial least squares-structural equation
modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis revealed a positive association between GKA
and GP. The findings highlight the influence of several factors on Vietnamese
SMEs' journey towards GP, including GKA, GKM, AGI, OGC, and AL. The
current research expands the theoretical scope of the NRBV theory by
incorporating the green innovation (GI) of Vietnamese SMEs. By examining
the interplay between organizational culture, leadership, and green knowledge
or innovation strategies, this study enhances our understanding of GP and offers
valuable insights for Vietnamese SMEs.
