determinant of success for retail enterprises. Decathlon Thao Dien, amidst its endeavors to deliver
exceptional customer experiences, confronts the challenge of a sluggish online order processing
workflow, necessitating a comprehensive analysis and subsequent enhancement. This thesis
embarks on a journey to not only dissect the underlying inefficiencies but also to propose and
implement viable solutions. At its core, the research delves into the application of lean
warehousing principles within the intricate framework of Decathlon Thao Dien's warehouse
operations. Through the strategic deployment of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), the study aims
to meticulously unravel the intricacies of the warehouse processes, identifying latent
inefficiencies and areas ripe for improvement. Central to the proposed solutions is the integration
of Barcode technology and the adoption of 5S methodologies. The infusion of Barcode technology
promises expedited product identification and localization, while the incorporation of 5S methods
is poised to optimize the efficiency of the picking order areas, heralding a paradigm shift in
operational excellence. The anticipated outcomes of these interventions extend beyond mere
efficiency gains; they hold the promise of a transformed operational landscape, where processing
times are significantly curtailed from the initial stages of product code identification to the final
stages of order picking, culminating in a streamlined and expeditious order packaging process.
